Biography and Medals
David started martial arts at the age of nine with Judo and over the years has trained in Hapkido, Aikido, and Ninjitsu. He started training at Beijing Tai Chi and Kung Fu Academy in October of 2006 with Ba Gua and Yang Tai Chi. He soon began to participate in competitions which increased his focus and drive to learn more. David has since earned thirty-three medals and trophies. In less than three years, David has also earned certificates in Tai Chi, Ba Gua, and Xing Yi, and a black sash in internal martial arts. He has always enjoyed the physical and mental aspects of martial arts for the workouts and as a way of personal expression. As he likes to say: “When you think you have done all you can, you can still do a little more.”
David continues to practice the internal arts, but also trains in other disciplines such as San Da and ground fighting.
